Welcome Caffè Nero

Stock In Trade is delighted to welcome Caffé Nero as a customer.

They are currently the largest independent coffee retailer in the UK with over 450 stores, so we are naturally pleased that they have chosen Stock In Trade as their preferred supplier for office supplies, IT consumables and stationery.  We look forward to managing their supplies and to a long and healthy working relationship.

The only problem we have now is the squabbling about who gets to visit so they can try and grab a free coffee.
What’s wrong with our office coffee?

17 & a half years at Stock in Trade!

The employees here at Stock in Trade have been with us for an average of 17 and a half years – and that’s including someone who’s only been with us 4 years.  Okay, that doesn’t count two recent recruits: Rupen running our warehouse and myself in sales, but that’s expansion for you.  17.5 is a big number when all things are considered.  Things like products, websites, deliveries, paperwork.  In the end it comes down to people.

We did a quick round in the office and when asked why they’d stayed at Stock in Trade for so long, we had confessions of “blackmail”, “they keep the doors locked” and “I lost my get out of jail free card!”  It’s really because everyone strongly believes in what we do, the unique Imprest Service we offer – and they enjoy working in this likeable madhouse and dealing with friendly customers!

Hating to sound too cliché, but we are a little family here in the office and a lot of our customers are like extended family.  Our distinct service means we maintain regular contact with all our customers and we’ve built strong and lasting relationships during this time.  In fact, we still have customers that joined us right at the beginning.  In that time we watched them grow and change, and in turn we developed our expertise to help them – and ultimately to become a trusted and reliable supplier.  It’s how we stay in business.

So a huge thanks to all our staff for your years of commitment and hard work – and a massive CHEERS to the next 17 and a half years!

So share some of your best – and worst – experiences of customer service.  Even if you’re one of our customers…

Race and raise money for charity!

Congratulations to Fariba at Stock in Trade, and everyone who accompanied her, in her 6K trek on Sunday 8th May! They crossed the line within the two hour mark, giving those legs a much-needed workout – although everyone has woken up with a aches and pains this morning. It’s all been worth it though because they raised lots of money for Multiple Sclerosis!

Jade is hoping to run the 5K Race for Life next month – in an hour whilst dressed head-to-toe in pink for Cancer Research. Anyone else out there taking part in charity walks or runs? If so, let us know how you get on and GOOD LUCK!!

Seems this time the good news is a baby girl called Amelia Grace

She arrived a couple of days ago weighing in at just over 8lb.
And no, not by post.

Those of you that know our Karen will no doubt join all of us here at Stock In Trade in congratulating her son Michael, and his wife Emily on their new addition.  And even if you don’t know you can still join in.

So Karen, or should we say Nanny Karen, best wishes to you and your ever growing  family.

Liquidate your unwanted stock

A lot of companies end up with unwanted stock of office and IT supplies, like inks, toner cartridges, blank discs etc.  But rather than having unwanted boxes taking up space in your office, you can have the cash value back in your company bank account where it can be of more use.

Stock In Trade can help you liquidate your unwanted stock.  So if you have any surplus stock just sitting in your warehouse or stationery cupboard, get in touch – and we’ll take it off your hands.

Let us know using our contact form
